Printing and delivery
200gsm matte paper, eight standard sizes, three frames, and free tracked shipping from a printer near you.
The paper
Every print is a fine art reproduction of the original painting on 200gsm matte paper. Matte means no glare, so the painting reads well under lamps and daylight alike.
Sizes
Most paintings come in A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1, plus 12x16, 18x24 and 24x36 inches. Custom sizes are available on request through Etsy messages.
| Size | Centimetres | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| A5 | 14.8 x 21 cm | 5.8 x 8.3 in |
| A4 | 21 x 29.7 cm | 8.3 x 11.7 in |
| A3 | 29.7 x 42 cm | 11.7 x 16.5 in |
| A2 | 42 x 59.4 cm | 16.5 x 23.4 in |
| A1 | 59.4 x 84.1 cm | 23.4 x 33.1 in |
| 12 x 16 in | 30.5 x 40.6 cm | 12 x 16 in |
| 18 x 24 in | 45.7 x 61 cm | 18 x 24 in |
| 24 x 36 in | 61 x 91.4 cm | 24 x 36 in |
Some paintings stop at A2 or A3. Each listing says which. The limit comes from the original photograph: above that size it would lose the fine texture of the brushwork, so the shop does not offer it. See the print size guide for help choosing.
Frames
Choose a black, white or oak frame, or order the print unframed. Every painting page has a frame preview so you can see each finish on the painting.

Orders, payment and tracking all run through The Dark Academia Store on Etsy, so Etsy's purchase protection covers your order. Every painting page here links straight to its Etsy listing.
Questions
Are these prints AI generated?
No. Every print is a reproduction of a real painting from the 1600s to the early 1900s. None of the art is AI generated or AI modified, and the brushwork and canvas texture of the original stay in the print.
What paper are the prints on?
200gsm matte fine art paper. It gives rich colour with no glare.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free and tracked on every order. There are no customs fees, because each print is made in your region.
Which countries do you print in?
The UK, Europe, the US, Canada and Australia. Each order goes to the print location closest to you.
Do inch sizes crop the painting?
A sizes share the shape of the master file, so they show the whole painting. 12x16 and 18x24 inches are a little wider in proportion, and 24x36 inches a little narrower, so a thin strip trims from the edges.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Send a message through the Etsy shop with the size you need.
Are the paintings copyright free?
Yes. Every painting in the shop is in the public domain.
